This is a 3 year project funded by Big Lottery Fund supporting and encouraging individuals, from disadvantaged groups, in community involvement in Lewes District.

The Developing Communities Project aims to support individuals in getting their voice heard through providing training, support and various platforms to create change in their community and society. 

 

Free Training in Life Skills for individuals 2009

The Developing Communities Project is proud to announce a range of training sessions around confidence building and effective communication for individuals open to those living in Lewes District. Following the sucess of the Life Skills program in 2008 there will be another 6 sessions in 2009, of which as many or as few can be undertaken.

Life Skills 2009 Training Programme

The training will take place in Newhaven from 9.30am-4pm. Refreshments and lunch will be provided.

The training is free and the Developing Communities Project will also cover the cost of travelling expenses and other access needs. Lifts can also be arranged from Seaford Station to the venue for example. A deposit of £10 per session is required to ensure a place which will be returned on attendance of the training session (see the booking form below for more details).

'What drives you wild?’ is the Developing Communities Project campaign to encourage people to tell us about their frustrations due to the difficulties they face in today’s society in terms of access, exclusion, discrimination, disadvantage, unfairness, misrepresentation etc. More information can be found on the campaign website www.whatdrivesyouwild.co.uk
