Lewes District Community Network (ComNet)

The Community Networks bring together people from the voluntary and community sector with statutory partners to share information and experience and become involved in local partnership work. It provides an opportunity to have a real impact on issues such as Health, Environment, Education and the Local Economy.

ComNet acts as a means of consulting the voluntary sector for statutory bodies recording needs and seeking views and ComNet also organises conferences and administers small grants. Through ComNet, voluntary sector representatives are represented on a number of partnership bodies, including the Lewes District Health Partnership, LSP and Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership.

For further information about the Community Networks contact Valerie Biggs, Community Networker at comnet@southdownscvs.org.uk or 01273 483832

The Annual Review of Lewes District ComNet took place on Tuesday 30 September 2008 at Beechwood Hall, Cooksbridge. For further information about the work of ComNet in Lewes District last year and discussion about priorities for next year, see the Lewes ComNet Annual Review Report.
