Wealden Networking meetings
These meetings provide a chance to meet other groups, find out about current topics of interest and feedback your views.
Crowborough 24th September 2008
The next meeting will be at All Saint's Centre, Crowborough on 24th September, 1.30pm - 3.30pm. Speakers from Home Start South Downs (to talk about their work extending into Wealden) and Sussex Learning Consortium. Workshops will focus on the following: Supporting and Recruiting Volunteers (Rosey Egger – South Downs CVS Volunteer Centre); How to set up a Volunteer Driver Scheme (Caroline Scotter – Action in rural sussex) and First Steps to Learning (Susan Churchill – ACRES). Hailsham 20th November 2008
The November meeting will be at Hailsham East Community Centre 1.30 - 3.30pm. Topics are likely to include funding and future plans for the voluntary sector. One of the speakers will be Mary Carruthers from the Sussex Community Foundation and Karl Parks will run a funding workshop. Further details will be available nearer the time.
